Iridium bougie CR9EIB-9 - 92579 van het merk NGK, voor onderstaande motoren, scooters en quads.

In de handleiding van jouw motor vind je het type bougie dat je nodig hebt. Gebruik uitsluitend het type dat daarin aangegeven staat, tenzij je echt weet wat je doet. Zelden moet je een andere warmtegraad-bougie hebben. In het stadsverkeer of tijdens het inrijden functioneren bougies niet optimaal: een zwarte tot grijs/witte bougie en slecht starten tot gevolg. Wanneer de motor optimaal is afgesteld, kan een andere warmtegraad (bijv. 6 i.p.v. 7 origineel) verbetering bieden. Pas op! Een kleinere warmtegraad kan motorschade tot gevolg hebben. Overleg daarom eerst altijd met je garage of onderhoudsmonteur.

Indien beschikbaar, overweeg dan de aanschaf van een Iridium bougie. Het betere lopen is al mooi meegenomen, maar de langere levensduur is echt de grote kracht van een Iridiumbougie. Vooral als je er slecht bij kan komen is dit een enorm voordeel.

Alle bougies met een 'R' in de typeaanduiding, beschikken over een geïntegreerde 5 K-Ohm ontstoringsweerstand. Die heb je alleen nodig wanneer je nog geen 5 K-Ohm ontstoorde bougiestekkers hebt gemonteerd. Meer dan 5 K-Ohm ontstoring is niet nodig. Meer dan 10 K-Ohm kan zelfs de werking van de bougie nadelig beïnvloeden.
